BODY COUNT Wins Grammy Award For “Best Metal Performance”

Los Angeles heavy metallers Body Count have won the Best Metal Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Bum-Rush, from the band’s 2020’s Carnivore album.

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards was pushed back due to the coronavirus and which was held last night (Sunday, March 14) at the Los Angeles Convention Center and hosted by Daily Show presenter Trevor Noah. There was a tough competition for Body Count facing with Code Oranges’ “Underneath,” In This Moment’s “The In-Between,” Poppy’s “Bloodmoney,” and Power Trip’s “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe) (Live) were also nominated for the Best Metal Performance category.

For the first time in history, the nominees for Best Rock Performance were entire women or female -fronted outfits, and this year the award have won by Fiona Apple for “Shameika”.

Electro metaller Poppy performed last night at the Grammy 2021, and she unveiled her new song titled “Eat” at Premiere Ceremony. Poppy was nominated for Best Metal Performance for “Blood Money”, which was took home the honor for “Bum-Rush” (Body Count).
