Foo Fighters have shared a brand new official cinematic music video for their latest single “Waiting On A War” – you can watch the full visual below.
The song was released earlier this week, which follows their previously released two songs – ‘Shame Shame’ and ‘No Son of Mine’, from their forthcoming album “Medicine At Midnight”, due out on February 5.
Last week, while unveiling the audio ‘Waiting On A War’ frontman shared a statement, the song is written for her 11-years old daughter, “Last fall, as I was taking my daughter to school, she turned to me and she asked me: ‘Daddy is going to be a war?” Dave wrote. “My heart sank in my chest as I looked into her innocent eyes because I realized that she was now living under that same dark cloud of a hopeless future that I had felt 40 years ago.”
Dave continues, “As a child growing up in the suburbs of Washington D.C., I was always afraid of war. I had nightmares of missiles in the sky and soldiers in my backyard, most likely brought upon by the political tension of the early 1980s and my proximity to the Nation’s Capitol. My youth was spent under the dark cloud of a hopeless future.”
In addition, Foo Fighters are set to perform tomorrow (January 20), for a TV special show which will celebrate US President Joe Biden’s inauguration.
