American rock band Kings of Leon is offering a new album in unique content and experience in the form of a non-fungible token (NFT).
The Grammy-winning rock band is assured to make history as the first band to release a new record as a non-fungible token. The new studio album will arrive this Friday (March 5) via major streaming music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but it will also available as an NFT on YellowHeart ( a streaming platform based on blockchain).
NFTs serve as a cryptographic way to buy and sell digital art and media, and they also eliminate digital piracy.
Along with the album, there are two crypto packages available, offering off six “golden tickets” lifetime live experience for the band’s show or six limited album artwork.
In addition, all the proceeds from two available NFTs album will be directly funded to Live Nation’s Crew Nation fund (which is offering support to touring workers affected by the pandemic).
