DAVE MUSTAINE Previews New MEGADETH Album, Reveals Title

Legendary frontman Dave Mustaine of Megadeth has revealed the title of the upcoming new album. Frontman has confirmed the new Megadeth album will be titled, The Sick, The Dying, and The Dead.

Mustaine was doing a cameo video for a fan by the name of Joe when he made the reveal saying: “If you listen real closely, you can hear in the background – look over my shoulder, uh oh, there’s the pro tools rig with the new album, doing a rough mix! and you’re getting to hear a little bit of it in the background for your birthday,” says Dave. “This is the beginning of the song The Sick, The Dying, and The Dead which is our title track.”

Although the official release date for the album has yet to be confirmed, this wasn’t the first time fans had heard this as Mustaine previously said: “The Sick, The Dying, and The Dead” was the tentative title for during a fan zoom chat back in January.” Back in May, the band announced the bassist, David Ellefson’s departure from the band over sexual misconduct allegations. Last month during an episode of his show Gimme Radio Mustaine confirmed that late David Ellefson’s bass tracks would not be on the upcoming album. “I just wanna thank you all for kind words and support as we get ready for this next tour and to continue to hunt for a new bass player,” said Mustaine.

“We’re making progress. The record’s been completed, and we’re gonna have someone coming in a couple of weeks to replace the bass tracks that we had. This should be relatively quick because the person we’re talking to is a stellar bass player. and hopefully, this will be an ongoing thing after the recording. Or we will find someone prior to the recording that will be our permanent guy going forward.”
